Does GREEN use assessments?

At GREEN Charter Midlands, we work diligently to ensure that every student is able to grow as much as possible each year. We use several assessment tools during the beginning, middle and end of the year progress monitor our students and make instructional decisions. From state mandated tests like SC Ready, to optional assessments like Fountas and Pinnell, we use data to guide what and how we teach our students. Click on the button below to learn about the assessments we utilize, and what grades participate in each one.

How Can I Help My Student With Assessments?

Assure your child that none of these assessments are pass-or-fail tests. Teachers, administration and support staff will look at the results of all of the assessments in the big picture, to identify how to best support each student at their level.
Please make sure your student(s) get a good night's sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning when preparing for an assessment.
